On June 4, 2019, the U.S. House passed, by a bipartisan margin of 237 yeas to 187 nays, H.R. 6, the American Dream and Promise Act. This bill builds on the 2001 DREAM Act by combining protections for Dreamers with those who have Temporary Protected Status (TPS) or Deferred Enforced Departure (DED) because they have fled natural disasters or wars in their home countries.
We must now urge the Senate to act.
